Atsi Sheth is a Managing Director in Moody’s Credit Strategy and Research team. She serves as the Chief Credit Officer for the Americas. Prior to this, she was Managing Director in Moody’s Sovereign Risk Group, responsible for the teams covering the Americas, Asia Pacific and Middle East. Before rejoining Moody’s in 2011, she was Chief Economist at Reliance Capital. During Atsi’s previous tenure at Moody’s from 1997 to 2007, she worked in the Credit Policy and Sovereign Risk groups, covering countries in Asia, Africa and Europe. Atsi has taught International Political Economy and Emerging Markets at Columbia University in New York, and has been associated with non-profit agencies in microfinance and housing. Atsi has a PhD from Northwestern University and a B.A. from Bombay University.

Bharat Masrani was appointed Group President and Chief Executive Officer of TD Bank Group on November 1, 2014. Bharat has more than 30 years of banking experience and is a member of the TD Bank Group Board of Directors. He most recently served as Chief Operating Officer for TD Bank Group from July 2013.
Bharat has held many senior executive roles across the bank. In 2006, he became the President of TD Banknorth, and in 2007, President and CEO. In 2008, he was named Group Head U.S. Personal and Commercial Banking and President and CEO of TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank®. Previous to his role at TD Bank, he served as Vice Chair and Chief Risk Officer of TD Bank Group, a position he held from May 2003. Bharat also served as Senior Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of TD Waterhouse Investor Services in Europe; Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance and Co-Head in Europe; Vice President and Country Head for India; and Vice President and Head, Corporate Banking Canada. He began his banking career with TD Bank Group in 1987 as a Commercial Lending Trainee.
Bharat received a Bachelor of Administrative Studies degree with Honours from York University in 1978 and obtained his Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business, York University in 1979. For his achievements in business and the community, Bharat was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the Schulich School of Business in 2017. Bharat also serves on the Board of Trustees for The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.

David Beattie is a Senior Vice President in Moody’s North American Financial Institutions Group, and is the Lead Analyst for the major Canadian banks and life insurers. David joined Moody’s in 2011, prior to which he had a lengthy career in financial services. David has held a series of increasingly responsible positions in retail banking, corporate banking and investment banking with a number of Canadian and international banks, most latterly with TD Securities as Head of Financial Institutions Investment Banking.
David holds an MBA from The University of Western Ontario and a BA from Carleton University.

William (Bill) Foster is a Vice President-Senior Credit Officer in Moody’s Sovereign Risk Group in New York, where he serves as lead analyst on the United States, Canada, India, and World Bank Group credits. Bill joined Moody’s in August 2016, following 10 years at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. He most recently served as Senior Advisor for International Financial Markets based in New York, where he was the Office of International Affairs’ first dedicated liaison to New York’s international financial community. From August 2012 to March 2015, he served as the U.S. Financial Attaché to India at the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi, where he represented the U.S. Government as its primary economic expert and financial diplomat in India. Bill joined Treasury’s Office of International Affairs as an international economist in 2006, and covered a wide range of geographies during his tenure, including Latin America, South and East Asia. Prior to joining Treasury, he worked as a management consultant at Accenture. Bill holds a Master of International Affairs degree in International Financial and Economic Policy from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) and a BA from Wesleyan University. He is a member of The Economic Club of New York and an Industry Advisory Board Member for Columbia Business School’s India Business Initiative. |

Don Carter is Managing Director and Country Manager for Moody’s Investors Service.He was the first fundamental (non-structured) analyst based in Canada when hejoined Moody’s in 2001. He assumed the Country Manager role as well as management of the Corporate Finance Group in 2007. Don previously worked incorporate banking with Citi, Bank of Montreal and Bank of America, based in Montreal, Toronto and Calgary, in a variety of roles in the oil and gas and diversified industries sectors as well as mining, project finance, credit adjudication, debt origination, tax-structured leasing and marketing. Don has an MBA from the University of Michigan (concentration in finance), a bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University (Major in Accounting, with distinction) and he is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Michael Yake is a Senior Vice President / Manager in Moody’s Global Sub-Sovereign group. Based in Toronto, Michael leads the team of analysts for the Canadian Sub-Sovereign portfolio which covers provinces, municipalities and a wide selection of government related issuers in Canada. He is also a co-manager of the non-US portfolio of Moody’s Global Higher Education group which includes institutions in Canada, Mexico, Australia and the United Kingdom. He joined Moody’s in 2011.
Michael has a broad background in public policy, finance and economics. Prior to joining Moody’s, he was a Senior Economist with the Bank of Canada in their Quebec regional office. He has also held various positions with other federal government departments.
Michael holds an M.A. in economics from Queen’s University and a B.A. in economics from the University of Western Ontario.

Richard Hunt is a Vice President - Senior Credit Officer/Manager in the Structured Finance Group with Moody’s Investors Service, based in Toronto, where he manages a team responsible for Moody’s structured finance rating activity in the Canadian market. Prior to joining Moody’s in 2013, Richard spent 15 years in securitization finance with RBC Capital Markets where he arranged and structured securitization transactions across all asset types, and managed RBC’s Canadian ABCP conduits. Previous experience consists of more than 10 years in Canadian structured finance with British and Japanese banks. Richard has a BA/BPHE from Queen’s University and an MBA from McMaster University.
