Nick Hill is a Managing Director co-responsible for Moody’s global bank ratings. Based in Paris, he joined Moody’s in March 2010. Nick led the revision of Moody’s bank rating methodology, which was re-published in 2015.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Nick worked as a bank analyst in a variety of roles. These include banking supervision at the Bank of England and Financial Services Authority, where he began his career; sell-side equity research on French banks in a #1 ranked team at Morgan Stanley; rating UK and continental European banks at Standard & Poor’s; and providing balance sheet advice to financial institutions with RBS.
A graduate of Christ’s College, University of Cambridge in the UK, Nick holds an MA in English, a diploma in French, and a postgraduate certificate in Finance from Birkbeck College, University of London.

Sarah is responsible for a portfolio of credits that includes the United Kingdom, Ireland, Portugal, and Cyprus. She is also one of the Sovereign Risk Group’s global spokespeople. She joined Moody’s in 2009 after completing a Sloan Fellowship at the London Business School.
Prior to this academic sabbatical, she spent seven years at the Financial Services Authority in London where she headed the regulator’s Risk Analysis area and acted as its chief macroeconomist. Before joining the FSA, she worked in Dun & Bradstreet’s Economic Analysis Group for six years, where she was the organisation’s Deputy Chief Economist.
She holds an MA in European Studies (with a concentration in Economics and Finance) from the Elliott School of International Affairs at the George Washington University and an AB with a double major in Government and History from Dartmouth College. She is a CFA Charterholder.

Dominique Moïsi is one of Europe’s leading geo-strategic thinkers. A renowned political scientist, author, and co-founder of the prestigious French Institute for International Affairs (IFRI). He left IFRI in September 2016 to become Senior Counsellor of The Institut Montaigne in Paris. He is a member of the European Council on Foreign Relations, and the International Advisory Council of the Moscow School of Political Studies, as well as a special member of the Bilderberg Group. Moïsi is currently a Professor at the Institute d’Etudes Politiques at Sciences Po in Paris, and the Pierre Keller Visiting Professor at Harvard University. He also is the holder of the European Geopolitics Chair at the College of Europe in Natolin, Warsaw, and a visiting professor at King’s College, London. An internationally respected specialist in the fields of geopolitics and international relations, he is frequently called upon to comment on the future of Europe, geo-political trends, and the geo-politics of emotions. Moïsi writes for the Financial Times, New York Times, Die Welt, Der Standard, Foreign Affairs, and many other major newspapers. He is the author of many books including the renowned, ‘The Geopolitics of Emotion: How Cultures of Fear, Humiliation, and Hope are reshaping the World’ (2009), which has been translated into 20 languages. |

Laura Perez Martinez is Moody’s Chief Credit Officer in the EU, and an Associate Managing Director in the Credit Strategy team. In her CCO role, Laura is responsible for identifying and analysing the broad macro and credit trends, and leading and coordinating Moody’s ratings approach, across franchises in the region. Laura joined Moody’s in 2008 in London, where she worked as a senior credit analyst, covering leading European financial institutions. She relocated to Madrid in September 2016 to join the corporate finance team. Before joining Moody’s, Laura worked for AM Best covering European insurers. Laura holds a B.A. in Business Administration from University of Oviedo in Spain, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). |

Matthew Woolley is a Managing Director in the Methodology Review Group (MRG) in Moody’s Investors Service, currently based in France. He is part of the group tasked with reviewing and approving all credit rating methodologies. He also manages the team responsible for reviewing credit rating actions to assess the consistency and analytic robustness of the application of credit rating methodologies in rating committees. Prior to his current role, Matt was based in New York from 2014-2018. From 2016-2018, he was Associate Managing Director in MRG. From 2014-2016, he served as SVP and Group Credit Officer in Credit Policy for Global Structured Credit. Matt was based in London from 2010-2014 as a member of Credit Policy and covered multiple sectors in Structured Finance. Matt joined Moody’s in July 2005 as a member of the Credit Policy Research Group, based in New York. Matt holds a B.Che. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware, and Ph.D. in Financial Econometrics from the University of North Carolina. |

Alain Laurin heads the Financial Institutions group with responsibility for ratings on banks in France and the Benelux since June 2013. Between 2008 and 2013 Alain was Regional Credit Officer for the Europe, Middle East and African region (EMEA).
Prior to joining Moody’s in August 2008, Alain was at Banque of France for 25 years where he held several positions in the International department – including a seven-year secondment to the World Bank – and at the Banking Commission where he was Director of off-site supervision between 2006 and 2008.
Alain holds a Master Degree in Economics (University of Bordeaux) and Sciences Po (Bordeaux).

Jeanine Arnold is an Associate Managing Director in the Corporate Finance Group (CFG) team based in Paris.
She leads the Paris-based CFG team, which is responsible for a wide range of credits across the healthcare, retail, transportation, IT, gaming and business and consumer services industries. She is also the EMEA Leveraged Finance Coordinator.
During her time at Moody’s Jeanine has been a lead analyst for European Airlines and Aerospace and Defense companies as well as investment holding companies, manufacturing and semiconductor companies.
Prior to joining Moody’s Jeanine was a Director and Supervising Analyst at Fitch Ratings based in London, specializing in the rating of transportation names across Europe, the CIS and Middle East, including Rail, Airlines, Shipping and Ports. Prior to this, she worked in the credit risk management and investment banking teams of Bank of America Merrill Lynch as well as RBS, where she managed credit finance transactions for European Industrials within the Automotive, Chemical and Manufacturing sectors.
Jeanine qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2006 from Ernst and Young in London and has a Joint Honors degree in French and German from the University of Nottingham.

Caroline Pichon is a Vice President – Senior Analyst in Moody’s Covered Bond team based in Paris. Caroline is lead analyst for several covered bonds programmes. Prior to assuming her current role, Caroline was based in New York and headed the Student Loan and Consumer Asset-Backed Securities (“ABS”) Surveillance team. From December 2013 to December 2015, Caroline was Vice President – Project Manager in the Project Management Office and was responsible for managing large projects with particular focus on Requests for Comment and Methodology development and implementation. From February 2012 to December 2013, Caroline was based in London covering EMEA Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (primary and surveillance). Caroline began her career in Moody’s Paris office in 2007 in the ABS primary team and moved to the ABS surveillance team in January 2010 focusing on EMEA Consumer Loan ABS, EMEA Auto Loan ABS and Future Receivables ABS. Caroline received her Master of Science degree in Finance from ESCP Europe in 2007, her Master of Science degree in Economics (Bank, Money and Markets) from Universite Paris X Nanterre in 2006, and her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management (specialization in Finance) from Universite Paris Dauphine in 2005. |

Matthieu Collette is Vice President-Senior Analyst in Moody’s Sovereign-Sub-Sovereign Group. Matthieu joined Moody’s in 2017 and since then covers Sub-Sovereign ratings (regional and local governments, public hospitals, public transportation entities, and other government-related issuers) in France and Belgium. Matthieu is a Moody’s ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) champion. Before joining Moody’s, Matthieu was Head of economic and financial studies of Finance Active, a leading French fintech. Matthieu was also an advisor for United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) in the context of a global study on “Resource mobilization conditions of local financing for a sustainable urbanization” and co-led the “Debt and Treasury” working group of Regions of France (Régions de France) from 2014 to 2017.
Over the past years, Matthieu has been pedagogical coordinator and teacher at the National Institute of Territorial Studies (Institut National des Etudes Territoriales, INET, at the School of Higher Studies in Public Health (Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Santé Publique, EHESP) and has been teaching at the French Development Agency (Agence Française de Développement, AFD)-Development Campus as well as at the University of Strasbourg. Top of his class of the “Money, banking, finance” Master’s degree of the University of Paris 2-Panthéon Assas, Matthieu started his career in teaching and research in financial economics at Paris 2-Panthéon Assas university. Based in Paris, Matthieu speaks French and English.
